Carpet Cleaning in Calgary

The kind of deep clean a rental machine can't reach — truck-mounted heat, pressure and vacuum that flushes the pile all the way to the backing and dries fast enough to walk on the same day.

Most carpets don't look tired because they're worn out — they look tired because soil has packed down into the base of the pile where a vacuum can't reach. Grit, skin cells, pollen and the grey that builds along hallways and in front of couches all settle below the surface, and every footstep grinds them deeper. Surface cleaning lifts the top layer and leaves the rest.

Our carpets get the full five-step treatment, finished with truck-mounted hot water extraction. The system lives in the van, not on a cart, so it delivers far more heat and suction than any portable unit a rental counter will hand you — which means a deeper flush and, just as importantly, a much faster dry.

We're registered, bonded and insured, we quote the whole job up front, and the products we use are non-toxic and safe around kids and pets. You get an itemised invoice at the end — no surprise line items, no travel fee bolted on because you're a few minutes past the ring road.

The method

How we clean a carpet

Every clean starts dry. We vacuum thoroughly first so the wet stages work on embedded soil instead of turning loose grit into mud. Then a targeted pre-spray goes down to break up oils and ground-in dirt, and we give it time to dwell.

Next comes agitation with a counter-rotating brush (CRB), which drives the solution into the pile from both directions and lifts matted fibres back upright. Only then do we extract — truck-mounted hot water rinses the broken-down soil out under high pressure and pulls the moisture back out in the same pass. A final disinfectant step handles bacteria and odour at the source rather than masking it with fragrance.

Old and set-in pet stains

Pet accidents don't stop at the surface — urine wicks down into the backing and the underpad, which is why a spot you cleaned last month keeps reappearing and the smell comes back on humid days. We treat the deposit itself, not just the visible mark.

Some stains lift on the first pass; older ones sometimes need a second treatment, and if one is being stubborn we'll come back and re-treat it rather than pretending it's gone. That's a real thing our clients have written about, not a slogan.

Drying time and what to expect

Because the truck-mount pulls so much moisture back out, most carpets are dry to the touch within a few hours rather than the day-plus a portable machine can leave behind. Crack a window or run the furnace fan and it moves faster still.

You can usually walk on it in socks right away; we'll flag anything that needs a little longer before you drag furniture back across it.

Questions people ask about this

How long does the carpet take to dry?
Usually a few hours with truck-mounted extraction, versus a day or more with a rental machine, because far more moisture is pulled back out during cleaning. Airflow from an open window or the furnace fan speeds it up.
Can you get out old pet stains and odour?
Often, yes. Pet accidents soak into the backing and underpad, so we treat the source rather than just the surface mark. Older stains sometimes need a second pass, and we'll re-treat a stubborn one rather than leave it.
Do I need to move all my furniture first?
Move small and breakable items if you can; we can work around larger pieces and clean the open, high-traffic areas that need it most. Tell us what you'd like moved and we'll factor it into the quote.
How often should carpets be professionally cleaned?
Every 12–18 months for an average home, more often with pets, kids or allergies. We wrote a full breakdown in our guide on how often to clean carpets.
Are the products safe for children and pets?
Yes — we use non-toxic, eco-friendly solutions and finish with a disinfectant pass. There's nothing you need to air out for days or keep the dog off of afterward beyond the normal drying window.
